Jeffrey Greenfield, MSW, LCSW
Director
Jeff joined the SBYSP program as Director of the middle and high school sites in April of 2013.  Born and raised in New Jersey he completed most of his education and gained most of his professional experience here in the Garden State.  He eared his Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology at Rutgers University in 1993 and his Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.  Jeff started his professional career in Seattle, WA working in a supportive housing program for chronically mentally ill homeless adults.  He returned to New Jersey and began a twelve year run with Family Intervention Services’ Kid Connection program which delivers in-home therapeutic and case management services to youth and families involved with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly DYFS). Jeff wore many hats over his tenure with Kid Connection including clinician, assistant director and clinical supervisor. Jeff is excited to join School Based, its talented and caring staff and Warren Hills Community.

Middle School Staff
Brooke  Brooke Mahalick, MSW, LSW 
(Site Coordinator/Mental Health Therapist)
Brooke, a Licensed Social Worker, is the middle school Site Coordinator of  School Based. She oversees daily operations and  provides counseling. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA; there, she majored in Social Work and minored in Spanish. Brooke went on to complete Marywood University’s Master’s Program in Social Work.  Prior to joining the staff at Family Guidance Center of Warren County, she was employed at Valley Youth House in Bethlehem, PA. She gained experience providing intensive therapeutic services to families affected by substance abuse.  At VYH, she became certified as a Functional Family Therapist,  implementing in-home services to at risk adolescents and their families. The goal of this specific service was to reduce the level of juvenile delinquency and stabilize the home environment.  From 2003 to present, Brooke continues to promote the School Based Program as an important resource to Warren Hills’ students and families.  As a professional, she is guided by the belief that adolescents can lead a healthy and successful life regardless of the challenges they face.  School Based offers the encouragement and support students need to succeed. 
  Melissa Servedio, MA, LAC
Mental Health Clinician
Melissa is a Licensed Associate Counselor, and is one of the Mental Health Therapists at the middle school site. Melissa graduated from Kean University in Union, New Jersey with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 2009, and her Masters of Arts in Counseling in 2012. Melissa has an array of experience working with adolescents and teenagers ranging from volunteering in a youth group setting, working as a mentor, as well as having previous experience in another school based youth services program. She also volunteers on various telephone and online crisis hotlines. Melissa loves the uniqueness of the school based program and the numerous opportunities that the students have to engage in through it. She considers herself blessed to be a part of the Warren Hills School Based team.
Shannon  Shannon Englehart (Administrative Assistant/Recreation Worker)
Shannon currently works as the Administrative Professional and Recreation Worker at the Middle School.  A product of the Warren Hills School System, Shannon brings with her a unique understanding of both Washington, as well as the surrounding areas.  She is known for her artistic side, which includes all of the crafts, as well as the decorations that adorn the program.  Shannon enjoys her down time when not positively impacting today’s youth.
 Christina  Christina Henderson B.A.     
   (Youth Development Specialist)                    
 Christina started in 2011 as the Youth  Development Specialist at the Middle School.  A graduate of  Warrren Hills High School and Centenary College, majoring in Education. Her familiarity with the area has led to her bringing fresh ideas to the recreation portion of the program.  She indulges her artistic side, as well as spending time with her family when she is away from the program.
High School Staff
Travis Travis Wranitz, LPC (Mental Health Therapist)
Travis joined the staff November of 2010 as a Mental health Therapist at the program’s high school site.  Travis eared his Bachelor’s of Arts in Justice Studies with a concentration in Child Advocacy as well as his master’s of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Montclair State University in Montclair NJ.  Travis is currently licensed by the state of New Jersey as an associate counselor.  While working toward his Master’s degree, Travis worked as a vocational counselor at the Employment Program for Recovered Alcoholics, in Manhattan.  Travis then became a support worker Human Resources Coordinator for Collaborative Support Programs of NJ, a supportive housing program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness.  After earning his Master’s degree, Travis joined the Partnership for the Children of Essex as a Care Manager.  Travis provided in home supportive wrap-around services to families in Newark, Irvington, and East Orange.  Travis then moved to Family Connections, Inc. in Orange, NJ where he worked as an Outreach Clinician providing in-home family and individual counseling services to families in Newark and surrounding communities.  Just prior to joining counseling SBYSP, Travis worked for Family Connections, Inc. as a Coordinator for the Strengthening Families of Essex program running groups and providing crisis intervention to families.  Travis in excited to have the opportunity to work with the students at warren Hills Regional High School. 

Kathy Gould, M.Ed., LAC (Mental Health Therapist)

Kathy joined School Based in September 2015 as a mental health therapist at the program’s high school site. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. Kathy graduated from William Paterson University in Wayne NJ with a Master’s of Education in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling. After completing her Master’s degree, Kathy began to work for Family Intervention Services’ Youth Case Management (YCM) program. Kathy remained in this position until the unification of YCM and the Care Management Organization (CMO). She was then employed by Caring Partner’s of Morris & Sussex as a care manager. During her time at YCM and CMO, Kathy utilized the wraparound framework to provide in-home case management services to families whose children were experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. Kathy then accepted a position with NJ Mentor as a clinician for their Specialty Bed program. In this position, Kathy provided clinical services, including individual, group and family counseling, to five high risk adolescent males who were residing in the program’s group home. Kathy was very excited when offered the position here at School Based. She considers this position to be the best of both worlds, counseling services in a school setting. School Based offers such valuable services and Kathy is grateful to be a part of it.

Peggy  Peggy King, BFA (Youth Development Specialist)
Peggy joined School Based staff in 2003 as a recreation worker at Warren Hills Middle School and High School.  In 2004, she was promoted to a Youth Development Specialist at the high school.  In 2003, Peggy earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts, with a concentration in ceramics, and a minor in education from Arcadia University, and studied abroad at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland in 2001. Peggy’s true passion is art.  When she is not working at School Based or swimming in the pool, she is at the studio creating art.
